| 6/24/2009 | Cantey | 50ft | Canoed out to big blue with a couple of buddies. We dove single 80's and checked out the cavern zone. Flow was pretty strong at entrance of the cave but diminished once we got inside. Walls are black, floor is rock with some sand on the bottom. Opening of the cave is at 42ft deep and we reached a max depth of 71ft before it pinched off to a no-mount restriction at 100ft of penetration. It was clear that the cave continued past the restriction and opened up to about 8x6ft, but not sure how far it goes. Line is sketchy so we ran our own. |
| 9/6/2008 | Guy Bryant | 10' | We canoed to Big Blue Spring and it was very murky with vis about 10ft at best. I jumped in and found the cave entrance and it too was pumping like mad. I managed to pull myself into the cave till I found a permanent line. Since I was using a single tank and no back up air I stopped here and exited. |
